Tata Motors showcased a new SUV concept, the Hexa, at Geneva Auto Salon 2015. Based on the Aria, the Hexa is a very sporty looking SUV and should appeal to many. It is quite obvious that Tata Motors want to bring in a more premium feel to its SUVs as the new design language adds an air of elegance and sophistication.

The Hexa is one muscular SUV with an imposing front grille and huge air vents on the bumpers. The bonnet is sculpted with two prominent creases and the beefed up wheel arches house large 19-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Motors have tried to up the ante with the interiors as it comes with leather upholstery. This six seater SUV's cabin uses a lot of soft-touch materials and has mood lighting also.  The first two rows get captain seats while the third row is a foldable bench. The centre console has an automatic climate control and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

Apart from comfort features, the Hexa is fully loaded with safety options like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, powerful projector beam automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers.

The Hexa concept is powered by a 2.2 litre VARICOR 400 diesel engine with maximum output of 154 hp and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic transmission. There is more to just good looks as the Hexa is also available with a torque-on-demand all-wheel drive. The Hexa is 4764mm long, 1895mm wide and 1780mm high and has a wheelbase of 2850mm in length
