The Emflux One is expected to go on sale in April 2019.
Domestic startup Emflux Motors has showcased its debut model called One at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018.
The One is the first electric superbike to emerge from India, which is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100km/h in flat 3 seconds! This has been made possible thanks to the One’s in-house developed 9.7kWh battery pack that, according to Emflux, is the single biggest and heaviest component of this motorcycle. The 60kW motor, with peak power and torque of 70bhp (equivalent) and 84Nm respectively, is coupled with a single speed reduction gearbox and has been packed for mass centralisation.
Based on tubular steel trellis frame, the bike sports USD front forks on the standard model, which can be upgraded to Ohlins Race and track USD 43mm forks with adjustable preload, damping and rebound. At the rear is a monotube gas shock, which again can be upgraded to Ohlins 46mm gas shock.
Emflux claims that the One can charge from 0 to 80 per cent in 36 minutes through its proprietary WARP charger. If charged through a normal charger, the time goes up to three hours. The city range of the Emflux One is claimed to be around 200km, while the highway range is 150km (at 80km/h).
Emflux aims to help other OEMs develop their EV solutions by leveraging the patentable technologies they’ve used in the One. The Emflux has allocated 199 units of the e-superbike for India and 300 for export. The Standard model will retail at approx. Rs. 6 lakh, while the premium version with performance upgrades will go as high as Rs. 11 lakh.
