In addition to launching the all new Audi R8 supercar in India, and besides showcasing a few upcoming models from their updated lineup, Audi also had the A9 Prologue concept on display at the Auto Expo.
The A9 Prologue is a two-door coupe with a 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine mounted at the front, mated to a eight-speed automatic gearbox. The A9 has 605bhp at its disposal and 700Nm of torque, however, in overboost mode, the car can generate 750Nm of torque hence in 3.7 seconds, the A9 can reach a 100km/h from standstill. The torque is vectored to the Quattro All-Wheel-Drive system with self leveling suspension and adaptive damping with dynamic all-wheel-steering. The A9 also gets Matrix laser headlamps, the virtual cockpit that we find in the new TT and R8, with a next generation Multi Media interface for the infotainment system.
The A9 Prologue was first uncovered at the 2014 LA Auto Show in America. The looks of the concept has trickled down to its new generation of cars from Audi. The new TT, the R8, and soon to be launch A4 do resemble the A9 with the chiseled hexagonal front grille, and tapered and sharp edged laser headlamps and massive brake cooling ducts on either side of the front bumper.
The rear gets a pretty wacky tail lamp design with a horizontal strip of chrome running along from one side to the other and with hypnotic multi Y spoke wheels that draws you even closer with their gorgeous aggressive looks.
