Top SUVs at Auto Expo 2025: Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Skoda Kodiaq and More
Here are some of the SUVs from well-known brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Kia, and Hyundai that grabbed the spotlight at the second edition of the Bharat Mobility Expo.
The most recent edition of the Auto Expo saw an exciting lineup of SUV launches/unveilings from major brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and VinFast. With SUVs now dominating the preferences of Indian buyers, carmakers are pushing the envelope to bring even more options to the table. To help you make a well-informed decision for your next purchase, we’ve compiled a list of some standout SUVs that captured attention at the Auto Expo 2025.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki unveiled its much-anticipated first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, set to launch in March. This all-electric SUV will come with two battery options – a 49kWh and a 61kWh – both powered by a front axle-mounted electric motor (FWD) and offering a range of over 500 kilometres on a single charge. In terms of features, the SUV is equipped with a 10.1-inch driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 2-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, auto AC, a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, and a wireless phone charger. It is likely to fetch a starting price of approximately Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Creta Electric
The wait is finally over! The much-loved Hyundai Creta is now available in an electric avatar, starting at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric SUV comes with multiple variants and two battery options: a 42kWh and a 51.4kWh. The 42kWh variant powers the Executive, Smart, Smart (O), and Premium trims, offering an ARAI-certified range of 390 kilometres. Meanwhile, the 51.4kWh battery, available in the Smart (O) Long Range and Excellence Long Range variants, delivers a range of 473 kilometres. The long-range models pack a 169bhp motor, while the small-range versions feature a 133bhp motor.

The Creta EV is loaded with several premium features, including twin 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation, dual-zone AC, an auto-dimming IRVM, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. It also has in-car payment functionality for charging stations, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, and single-pedal driving (i-Pedal).
Kia Syros
Kia showcased the Syros at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, ahead of its price announcement in February. The SUV has six variants (HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O), and a range of eight monotone colour options. Under the hood, the Syros offers two engine choices: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 118bhp and 172Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that delivers 114bhp and 250Nm.
The Syros is equipped with dual 12.3-inch displays, 64-colour ambient lighting, a premium Harman/Kardon eight-speaker audio system, automatic up/down windows, a two-spoke steering wheel with the Kia logo, and dual-zone climate control. In terms of price, the Kia car may start at around Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Sierra
The Sierra SUV made its debut in an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) form at the 2025 Auto Expo, sparking considerable excitement. While official details are yet to be revealed, the SUV is expected to come with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 166bhp and 280Nm, as well as a more powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 166bhp and 350Nm. In terms of features, the Sierra is anticipated to offer a wireless phone charger, a premium sound system, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. With a starting price estimated at around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), this Tata SUV is expected to emerge as an attractive option in India’s SUV market.
Vinfast VF 3, V5 6, VF 7
VinFast, the Vietnamese automaker, made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo in India, with an extensive lineup of electric vehicles, including the VF 3, VF 6, and VF 7. The VF 3 is a compact yet powerful electric vehicle, boasting a 40.4bhp/110Nm rear-wheel-drive motor and a range of up to 215 kilometres.

The VF 6, which offers two powertrain options, packs a 59.6kWh battery, providing a range of up to 410 kilometres. The VF 7 features a 75.3kWh battery and a range of up to 450 kilometres.
